Phil Greco Sr., a heating and air conditioning contractor in the St.Charles/St. Louis county area for more than 20 years, was invited to become an IQAir dealer early in 2006, as part of his company, Mid Rivers Service Engineering LLC. Mid Rivers Quality Air LLC was spun off from Mid Rivers Service Engineering on March 22, 2006 in order to better market the complete IQAir product line to a larger customer base throughout the entire metropolitan area.

The two principals of the new company are Phil Greco Sr. and Lawrence Ennis. Larry are setting up administrative and marketing procedures, as well as selecting a sales force and handling larger sales orders of the many personal products offered by IQAir. Phil Sr. is running Mid Rivers Service Engineering and, as such, is responsible for engineering and sales of the IQAir whole house air filtration systems. We presently have a staff of seven full time employees, 5 part time sales persons and then plan on slowly adding a sales force that will be comprised exclusively of individuals who have purchased an IQAir product and thus can speak with authority about the advantages of that product. The Mid Rivers companies are presently the only authorized dealer of all IQAir products in Missouri.

All IQAir products are assembled in Switzerland; there are distribution centers on the East and West coasts where the product is warehoused. IQAir is a family owned Swiss company with a 40 year tradition of building the worlds' best air filtration systems. The move into the Midwest has been controlled by production; they accepted slower growth so product quality wouldn't suffer by mass production. IQAir is very determined to keep the highest quality in their manufacturing process.

Their HealthPro Plus air filtration system has received more #1 performance ratings than any other air cleaner on the market today. In fact, the prestigious American Lung Association is a partner with IQAir in promoting indoor air quality education.

When the SARS virus was a critical concern, the Hong Kong Hospital Authority tested many air filtration systems including the HealthPro Plus. They concluded that IQAir made the only air filtration system totally effective in the fight to control the SARS virus and chose the IQAir unit over all the competition. IQAir air purifiers are now the #1 air purifier used in hospitals worldwide.

Mid Rivers Quality Air will market the IQAir product line to Hospitals, Schools, Day Care Facilities and Retirement Facilities. We will also target individual consumers and homeowners who have a wide range of clean air needs.

Although the IQAir name is well known in Europe and now Asia, it is relatively new in the United States and limited to western Missouri. We hope to change that. Residents in Missouri suffer from more airborne allergies than almost anywhere else in the U.S.; every night the local TV news prominently features the airborne particle allergy count.

The IQAir product line is quite extensive, ranging from whole house applications to small portable units that are used in homes and offices. We also offer a complete product line for medical/dental, complex commercial and industrial air filtration needs. The average size of a portable IQAir unit is about 30 inches high x 15 inches wide. The least expensive IQAir unit starts at $649.00 and with a few exceptions no accessories are necessary.

The most difficult part of starting this business is getting our pure air message across: OTHERS CLEAN, WE PURIFY. Our goal is to educate the public about the true value of the IQAir technologies. Almost daily the public is bombarded with TV and print media ads for various types of air cleaners. Most offer ionizer technology which does provide some filtration but could produce ozone as a byproduct and system efficiencies as low as 2 percent. IQAir systems filter 100 times more particulates than the average air filtration system, they filter down to .03 microns IQAir filters down to .003 microns at 99.5% efficiency guaranteed, it produces only 100 percent pure air and no ozone. The message is clear, IQAir works, and with the use of a digital particle counter we can prove we are the best. It is amazing to actually see the performance of the IQAir product when compared to any of the other air cleaning products on the market today. Future plans for the company are simple: we want to spread the word about our excellent air purification products and we want to expand our company to sell IQAir products.
